I'm on a Blog Roll....

this is a great cake with a great story. Woman orders a cake from Walmart. Tells the decorator that she wants it to say "Best Wishes Suzanne" underneath that "We will miss you". Apparently, the decorator has complex listening problems....

Yesterday Roma and I went to Walmart.

Walking in there was an ad/sign that made me stop and laugh - it was for bone density screening.

It said it could test you in "5" minutes. the 5 was in quotes like that.

What's so funny?

Ever since I started visiting the Blog of Unnecessary Quotations, I notice unnecessary quotes. When you do quotes like that, what you are saying is that whatever is in quotes, you mean the opposite or you're being sarcastic.

As we were musing this, a Walmart employee asked us what was so funny. I tried explaining to him what I just explained to you and why it might be funny and make no sense.

Either he had no clue what I was saying, or he himself didn't find the humor, cause he just gave me a confused, blank stare.

This made me laugh even harder as I tried to stifle my laughter and apologized for thinking and sharing.

Ahhh, Walmart.....if I were a stand up comedian I could get all my material from your store....rolled back, even

A couple weeks ago, Chris and I got our passport pictures taken at Walmart, only to receive a federal letter in the mail saying that the picture did not meet the qualifications.
When we went back weeks later to the person who took our pictures, she tried telling us that is wasn't her fault that she didn't know the qualifications because she does not have a passport; and that it was actually our fault that the pictures turned out wrong because we are the ones receiving passports. Forgive us for actually expecting you to do your job right.
Moral: NEVER go to Walmart for anything important.
